Appointment preparation
Before booking telemedicine
You can make your visit go smoothly by jotting down the main reason you're coming in, your current medications, allergies, pharmacy, insurance plan, recent records, and any questions on your mind. If your visit follows recent urgent care, a hospital stay, specialist care, labs, imaging, or a medication change, bring those details along if you have them.
If you're traveling in from Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, Dewey-Humboldt, or another nearby Yavapai County community, it helps to double-check directions, office hours, insurance details, and any forms before you head out.

Give us a call when timing matters
Online booking, forms, and portal messages may not be reviewed right away. Call us for urgent office questions, when you're not sure what to book, for time-sensitive medication questions, or if you'd like help choosing the right appointment type. For emergency symptoms, call 911.
Common questions
Common Questions About Telemedicine
Can telemedicine replace all office visits at First Choice Medical Center?
No. Telemedicine can't replace every office visit. Some symptoms, exams, testing needs, procedures, or safety concerns call for an in-person evaluation or another care setting. Just give us a call and we can help you figure out whether a virtual or in-office appointment is the right next step.
What types of visits may fit telemedicine?
Telemedicine may be a good fit for follow-up questions, medication discussions, and non-emergency concerns when an in-person exam isn't required. The right visit type depends on your concern, your history, available records, your technology access, scheduling, and clinical judgment as we review and follow up with you.
What do I need for a telemedicine visit?
Use a reliable phone, tablet, or computer, find a private spot, keep your medications nearby, and follow any portal or scheduling instructions we send you. It also helps to have your questions, home readings, pharmacy details, and relevant records ready before you join.
Do I need to give consent for a telemedicine visit?
Yes. Before your telemedicine visit, we obtain your informed consent for virtual care, consistent with Arizona telehealth requirements. We will explain how the virtual visit works, and you are always welcome to ask questions or choose an in-person visit instead. Consent is handled through our scheduling and virtual visit process, not through this website.
Is telemedicine for emergencies?
No. Telemedicine is not for emergency symptoms or severe medical concerns. For emergency symptoms, call 911. If symptoms are severe, rapidly worsening, or unsafe to manage through routine communication, seek urgent or emergency care instead of waiting for a virtual appointment.
